Welcome to my blog. I’ve never done anything like this before, so give me a break if it isn’t exactly what you expect. I’ve been thinking of doing this blog for sometime now, not only for myself but for all of you: my family, my friends, my peers, and anyone who might simply be interested in going through this journey with me.
For those of you who do not know, I’ll be going through some changes and I’d appreciate your support with them. I am a transman, a transgender male. I have known this about myself my entire life and have been seeking therapy and support for this for sometime now. Please, if you would start using all male pronouns for me, such as: he, him, and his. As well as using the name Jack or my nickname, Jax, permanently. I am more than happy to answer any questions. I am overall completely open to talk about this whenever you’d like. I understand that this is a transition for everyone, not just me. This is not just a decision for me, it is a choice to embark into my true identity. This is not for society or any one else; this is for my own happiness and self worth.
Yesterday, April 9th, 2014, I received my first hormone shot to mark the beginning of my transition. Not only was it my biological birthday, but it was also a new birthday which opened a new world to me as a transman. Just by being open about who I truely am, I have been experiencing a new level of happiness that I never knew could even exist. I can’t even imagine the next levels of happiness that I will continue to experience as I grow into the man that I am supposed to be.
This blog will be a roller coaster, just to warn you. I usually am a dark writer but things have been lightening up for me with this new journey. I’ll have my ups and downs; I’ll have my laughter and tears. This journey will not be easy, but great things take work, right? I am so grateful for those of you who are supporting me through this.
